I agree that things have not looked very good around here for a long time.
Poor Miyazaki. They (we?) are having a hard time of it right now! Last year foot-and-mouth disease, this year bird flu and a pain in the butt volcano.
The Kirishima eruption doesn’t look half as dramatic a few miles away where I am… looks more like this:

Kyushu (Fukuoka) is my hometown in Japan, and so I follow the news down there quite closely.
For Miyazaki, it seems like they have been going from one disaster to another.
Yeah no kidding! The clean up is going to take time – I’m not sure if the wind the past couple of days is helping or making it worse. ^^;
